André Gallant

André Gallant (ABJ ’10, MFA ’17) is a writer, editor and photojournalist based in Athens. He is the author of “The High Low Tide,” a book-length work of narrative nonfiction about the Georgia oyster industry published by UGA Press in 2019. He is the publisher and editor of Crop Stories, a print-only literary journal that documents small farming in the American South. André is a Double Dawg, having graduated from Grady College in 2010 with a journalism degree and in 2017 from the inaugural class of the Master of Fine Arts in Narrative Media Writing program. His journalistic interests include farming, foodways, migration and justice.
