The Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Journalism to begin in August 2018.
Assistant Professor. Salary competitive.
The assistant professor must have a teaching and research concentration in, and a commitment to, mass communication and journalism. We seek excellence in scholarship befitting a major research institution and expertise in visual journalism, especially, but not limited to, photojournalism and multimedia journalism.
A PhD or MFA in mass communication or a related field expected by the time of hire, and required within nine months of hire. Evidence and strong promise of sustained research productivity required, as is the ability to mentor and direct graduate students. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in journalism is preferred.
