Fulbright Scholar Visits The Grady College

Delia Cristina Balas (Balaban), Ph.D. (European University Viadrina Frankfurt/Oder, Germany) is a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication of the University of Georgia. Delia Cristina Balas is a visiting scholar from February 1 to May 31, 202, and her stay is sponsored by the James M. Cox Jr. Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research, the international outreach unit of the Grady College.

 


 

Women Sports Journalists Visit The University Of Georgia

"Being in the focus of an event like the Olympics gives a city and surrounding areas an opportunity to expand its collective perspective of the world, to interact with people from varied cultures, to gain and extend friendships, and to obtain better understanding of the diverse nature of those who occupy our earth," Dr. Richard Hudson, UGA Olympics coordinator told a group of 25 international women sports journalists on November 18, 2019.

 


 

Workshop On Media And Technology Literacy In Bucharest

"We need to focus on balancing the wide-ranging pros and cons so that we can better harness the disruption that technology has introduced," Megan Ward, administrative director of the New Media Institute at the University of Georgia, told the participants in a workshop at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, Romania, in early November 2019.

 


 

Cox International Center Contributes To International Conference

"There is a huge variability in the communication skills and education among members of local governments in rural areas both in the United States and in Romania," Dr. Tudor Vlad, director of James M. Cox Jr. Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research, told participants in the Transylvanian International Conference in Public Relations in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in October 2019.
