Cox Institute Leader Selected for Pulliam Fellowship

Zachary Hansen, a Grady College journalism major, has been selected to participate in the 2017 Pulliam Journalism Fellowship operated by Gannett Co. newspapers. Hansen, who expects to graduate in December 2017, will work this summer as a paid reporter at The Arizona Republic and will participate in reporter training organized through the fellowship.‬ See More >

Richard T. Griffiths, vice president and senior editorial director at CNN, will serve as an Industry Fellow with the James M. Grady students complete Fall 2016 Mobile News Lab

A group of 20 journalism students interested in mobile news production and presentation completed the Grady College’s Fall 2016 Mobile News Lab. The Mobile News Lab introduced participants to a variety of mobile production tools and design concepts. Students learned from Grady faculty and guest speakers and engaged in hands-on practice using mobile devices and applications to report news. See More >

Cox Institute joins the Google News Lab University Network

The James M. Cox Jr. Institute for Journalism Innovation, Management and Leadership has joined a new university training network established by the Google News Lab. The Institute will affiliate with an initial group of 46 universities from around the globe to form a collaborative forum for sharing resources and best practices on training with Google’s extensive set of tools for journalists and news organizations. See More >
